Obituary of Tracy Francis McCraken

Tracy "Murphy" Francis McCraken, of Libertyville ,45, died suddenly on Saturday, July 5. Murphy was a creative, loving soul who was a revered fixture at the Bristol Renaissance Faire and had a successful leather and woodworking business. He befriended everyone he met and brightened the lives of those he touched. Murphy was preceded in death by his mother and father, Joan Barry Berger McCraken and Harold Tracy McCraken; brother Daniel Berger; and sister Kathleen Berger Kinkaid Dean. He leaves behind his sisters Donna Berger Levy, Mary Berger Conn, Eleanor Berger Morgan, Peggy McCraken Bentley, Harriet McCraken Galishus, and Terese McCraken; brothers Michael Berger, and Matthew Berger; soul mate Giselle Ballad, her daughter Samantha Carr; and a large extended family. A public celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place, (Rt 176, 1 Block East of Milwaukee Ave) Libertyville, Il. Visitation is from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. with a short Celtic service to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made for the care of Samantha Carr.
