Richard A. Proctor, 84, of Libertyville, passed away Dec. 29, 2014 at Advocate Condell Medical Ctr. Libertyville. Richard was born in Highland Park, IL. where he graduated from Highland Park High School. He later served with the US Army during the Korean conflict. Following his service in the Army, he was employed by the North Shore Rail Road for ten years. Following that, he had been employed by A.S. Hansen of Lake Bluff for 30 years as a pension consultant. In his earlier years he had served as a coach for the Antioch Little League and recently had worked for the Libertyville Park District Golf Course as a course ranger. He is survived by his wife Jean (nee Lindsay) Proctor of 60 years of marriage; his children Rich (Sue) Proctor, Kathy (Rick) Batten, Andy Proctor, Sue (Bruce) Suski, John (Judy) Proctor, Tom Proctor, Connie (Glenn) Zimmer, Barry (Laura) Proctor and Wendy (Russell May) Proctor; 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. His family will receive friends from 2:30 – 5:00 pm Sunday Jan. 4, 2015 at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place (Rt. 176, 1 Blk. East of Milwaukee Ave) Libertyville.
