Bernadette J. Zirko, nee Discianno, 82, of Mundelein, formerly of Wheeling, Glenview and Ft. Lee, VA passed away July 22, 2016. Bernadette was the devoted wife of 63 years to Milan J. Zirko; the beloved mother of Deborah (Jack) Stein, Diane (Jeff) Heppert, Darlene (Bryce) Kale and Dina (Nick) Ninkovich; the proud grandmother of Courtney (William) Olson, Brian (Elizabeth) Steeves, Parker Steeves, Matthew & Anna Heppert, Ashley Peters, Alyssa (Tommy) Long, Andrew Kale, Austin Peters, Christopher (Janet) Rabey, Marissa, Nicholas, and Michelle Ninkovich; her six loving great-grandchildren and her dearest brother Richard (Rosita) Discianno.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph & Nettie Discianno; her sister Natalie Ainsworth; her brother Joseph Discianno and her son-in-law William Steeves.
Visitation Tuesday July 26 from 3 – 8 pm at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place (Rt 176, 1 Blk East of Rt 21) Libertyville. Funeral Mass 10am Wed. July 27 at St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 22277 W. Erhart Rd, Mundelein where there will be a visitation 1 hour prior to Mass. Entombment Ascension Mausoleum, Libertyville.
