Obituary of Daniel Bergman

Daniel Bergman, 88, of Libertyville, passed away Aug. 21, 2016. Mr. Bergman was born in Escanaba, MI and had been a resident of Libertyville since 1974. He had retired from the US Navy in 1975 with the rank of Commander after 30 years of service. Following his retirement, he had been a realtor for Country Cousins. He was a member of Toast Masters and St. Joseph Parish. His interests included the Condell Centre Club, bowling, golfing, deer hunting, weight lifting and being a loyal friend of Bill W. Daniel is survived by his children Barbara Chambliss, Loretta Crezeling, Dan Bergman, Mary (Eric) Warren, Bill (Lisa) Bergman and Ed Bergman; 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; his brother Jack (Janeace) Bergman, his sister Roselyn Fortenbery; and his dear friend and companion for the past eight years Patricia Sacco. Dan was preceded in death by his loving wife Alice (nee Niquette) in 2006. Funeral Mass will be 10 am Saturday Aug. 27, followed by full military honors, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 121 E Maple Ave, Libertyville. Interment will be at Bark River Cemetery, Escanaba, MI. Visitation Friday Aug. 26 from 5 – 8 pm at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place, (Rt 176, 1 Blk East of Milwaukee Ave) Libertyville.
