Arline “Hey Ma” Bonadonna, 84, formerly of Half Day passed away Sept. 1, 2016 at her Saddlebrook home. Arline was born in Chicago, the daughter of Thomas and Elsie (nee Fritz) Conville and had been a resident of Half Day since 1957. She and her late husband Joe were owners and operators of Bon-A-Don Custom Fishing Shop of Half Day from 1961-1987. She was always known as “Ma” by shop employees and friends who still refer to her by that name. Arline is survived by her son Mark (Leslie Spears) Bonadonna; her grandson Joseph; her sister Diane (Joe) Pagani her; sister-in-law Rosalie Zayia and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe and her son Mike “Fish” (Marybeth) Bonadonna. Visitation will be from 4 – 8 pm Wed. Sept 7th, with services at 7:00 pm at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place (Rte 176, 1 Blk East of Milwaukee Ave) Libertyville. Interment will be at Vernon Cemetery, Lincolnshire, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to be made to Heartland Animal Shelter, 2975 Milwaukee Ave, Northbrook, IL 60062.
