Thomas L. Hanson, WWII Army Veteran, 92, of Libertyville, passed away Sept. 10, 2016. He was a 44 year resident of Libertyville and member of St. Joseph Parish.
Tom was the devoted husband of 68 years to Monica nee Moeller; the loving father of Mary Pat (James) Wisner, Barbara (Hal) Anderson, Jean (James) Benso, Kathy (Art) Smuck, Thomas A. (Mariana) Hanson and John Hanson; the proud grandfather of 17; dearest great-grandfather of 11 and the dear brother of Mildred B. Hanson.
Funeral Mass will be 10 am Thursday Sept. 15 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 121 E Maple Ave, Libertyville. Interment with military honors will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville. Visitation Wed. Sept 14 from 4 – 8 pm at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Pl (Rt 176, 1 Blk East of Milwaukee Ave) Libertyville. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that contributions be made to the Cancer Recovery Fund for "Thomas A. Hanson" which has been established at CHASE Bank of Libertyville.
