Helen Taraszka, 96, passed away on November 11, 2016. Helen lived in Lake Forest since 1998 at Lake Forest Place until her passing. Helen was born in Hayward, WI to Isadore and Sophie Pilaski. She moved to Chicago when she was three years old and lived there until 1955 when she and her family moved to Libertyville, IL.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband John of 63 years of marriage, her daughter Celeste Wilson and her three siblings. She is survived by her daughter Camille (Larry) Yarc, her four grandchildren, Gerry Yarc, Cindy Sanderson, Tara Rester and Camille Brune; ten great-grandchildren, and her son-in-law Gerald Wilson. Helen's priority in life was the happiness of her family.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Saturday, November 19th at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 121 East Maple Ave with visitation ½ hour prior to the Mass. Interment Ascension Cemetery. Funeral arrangements by McMurrough Funeral Chapel (847) 362-2626. Please sign the guestbook at libertyvillefuneralhome.com
