James McDonnell, 74, of Libertyville, passed away Dec. 13, 2016 in Libertyville. Jim was born in Evanston, spent most of his career in Human Resources, and had resided in Libertyville since 1975. He was a graduate of both Loyola Academy and Loyola University.
Jim is survived by his wife Claire, nee Loughlin, of 26 years of marriage, his children James McDonnell, Michael (Gretchen) McDonnell, , Kathleen (John) O'Connor, Peggy (David) Styler, Kevin (the late Michelle) Schiebler, Patrick (Molly) Schiebler and Shannon (Christine Ventress) Schiebler, his siblings Mary Pat (Joe) Kalbas, Sheila (the late Ray) Mickus , Brian (Mary Pat) McDonnell, William (Mary) McDonnell, Kathleen (Alec Farquhar ) McDonnell and Kevin (Toni ) McDonnell along with 14 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred & Mary Elizabeth and his siblings Alfred (Jo nee Walsh) McDonnell and Michael McDonnell.
Funeral Mass will be 10 AM Tues. Dec. 20th at St. Joseph Catholic Church 121 East Maple Ave, Libertyville. Interment Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville. Visitation Monday Dec. 19th from 4 - 8 PM at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place, Libertyville (Rt. 176, 1 Blk. East of Milwaukee Ave).
