Obituary of Richard A. Moss

Richard A. Moss, 87, of Libertyville, passed away suddenly Aug. 3, 2017 at Advocate Condell Medical Ctr. He was born in Chicago and had been a Libertyville resident since 1968. Mr. Moss was a retired banker. Richard was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, a loyal friend, a world traveler, a skilled golfer, an expert card player and while at Northwestern University, he had served as president of the Phi Sigma Phi fraternity.

Survivors include his wife Eleanor of 63 years of marriage; his children Suzanne (Charles) Bell, Richard J. (Jody) Moss and Nancy (Dave)Lindsey; his grandchildren Charlie, Jimmy, Lauren, Jennifer, Rachel, Ricki "Erica" and Eleana and his great-grandchildren Sophia, Winston and Theodore.

Visitation will be Sunday Aug. 6 from 3-6 PM with the funeral services at 6 PM at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place, (Rt 176, 1 Blk East of Milwaukee Ave) Libertyville. Private family entombment services will be Monday at Ascension Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to either, the St. Francis Animal Shelter, 10936 N.
