Obituary of Betty Jane Lieberman

Betty Lieberman, nee Gradberg, died at home surrounded by her family on August 18, 2017 at the age of 82. 

Betty is survived by her daughters Christina Beska, Diana (John) Matseshe, Brenda (Michael) Walton, and Michelle Lieberman; brother John (Jerry) Gradberg; grandchildren Kirsten (Ronnie) Mueller, Benjamin (Stephanie) Walton, Marc Beska, Grace Walton (Ryan Sellers), Alex Matseshe, Hanna Matseshe, and Betty Walton; two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husbands Leroy Beska and Harold Lieberman; parents Enoch and Gladys Gradberg; brother Richard Gradberg, sisters Joan Forristall and Nancy Mueller; grandson Zachary Matseshe.

Betty was born on June 23, 1935 in Joliet, Illinois.  She graduated from Joliet Central High School in 1953.  Throughout her life, Betty loved the music of Elvis Presley, which always brought a smile to her face.  Betty was known for her baking, making dozens of cookies at Christmas and creating beautifully decorated cakes.  She was an avid supporter of many charities and a lover of animals, especially her Yorkie Poo Carlee.  Most of all, Betty was best known as the beloved “Mor Mor” to her eight grandchildren.
