Obituary of David R. Rice
David R. Rice, 58, of Vernon Hills, passed away suddenly Jan. 5, 2018 at Advocate Condell Med. Ctr. David was born in Chicago, had been a resident of Vernon Hills for the past 25 years, was an avid Chicago sports fan and was a dedicated coach for the Vernon Hills Baseball and Basketball Traveling Teams. David will be fondly remembered as a devoted family man.
David is survived by his loving wife Roseann, nee Nocco, of 36 years of marriage; his dearest children Samantha and Timothy; his dear father Richard; his fond siblings Denise (Jim) Burns, Dennis, Donald (Kathy) and Dianne (John) Sprenger; his beloved mother-in-law Bessie Mantes and his numerous nieces and nephews. David is preceded in death by his mother Grace (nee Germanier) Rice.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Tuesday Jan. 9 at St. Mary of Vernon Catholic Church, 236 Rt. 45 Indian Creek, IL. Visitation Monday Jan. 8 from 4-8 pm at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place (Rt. 176, 1 Blk East of Rt. 21) Libertyville and Tues. 9:30am until time of Mass at St. Mary’s Church.
