I was partnered with Steve for a time in Judge Sharkey's courtroom. The judge was a former police officer and Steve made a joke, I forget the circumstances, about the judge and a doughnut shop. It was very funny and took the judge off guard. I also remembering him fighting for every client even when that meant standing up to the judge.
