Obituary of Gregory P. Vole
Gregory P. "Sonny" Vole Sr., 92, of Twin Lakes, WI, passed away on February 4, 2025. Born on August 1, 1932, in Highland Park, Illinois, Sonny enjoyed a successful career as a roofing contractor in Half Day, Illinois. His passions included hunting, fishing, working on puzzles, watching Westerns, and operating his bulldozer. Above all, Sonny cherished the love of his life, Candice, wife of nearly 50 years and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of his life.
Sonny was preceded in death by his wife Candice M. Vole (Stolarik); his father Peter Vole Sr.; his mother Amelia (Marianetti); his son Gregory Vole Jr.; and his siblings: Ernie (Julie) Vole, Peter Vole Jr., Polly (Donald) Darby, Dolores (Benny) Segalla.
Sonny is survived by his children; Soni, Lisa (Richard), William, Peter (Gail) Cindy, Christine, Pete; his grandchildren: Shauna (Jeremy), Dustin, Shania (Tyler), Shyann (Mason), Dylan, Richard, Gregory (Nicole), Candice (Andrew), Savannah (Christian), Sebastian (Shannon), Jordan, Samantha (Rachel), Chylle, Garret, Cecily, Adam, Bonnie; and his great-grandchildren: Jonah, Micah, Lenah, Eirah, Aylah, Priya, Gianna, Amelia, Luca, Finley, Estelle, Leila, Evelina, Cali, Levi, Lilah.
Visitation for Sonny will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 AM on Tuesday February 11th at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Pl, Libertyville where there will be funeral services starting at 11:00 AM with interment to follow at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville. Funeral info (847) 362-2626.
