Please share a memory of Scott to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

With heavy hearts, we share the sudden passing of Dr. Scott Laff on April 6, 2025, at the age of 70. Splitting his time between Gurnee, IL, and Hertford, NC, Scott lived a life full of purpose, adventure, and deep love for family.

A dedicated physician and scholar, Scott devoted his early career to patient care and research in Chicago, later advancing global health through leadership roles in pharmaceutical medicine across Germany, Denmark, and Canada. His work was fueled by compassion, curiosity, and an unwavering belief in science.

Scott’s greatest joy was his family. He was a loving husband, proud father, and a man who found magic in everyday moments. Whether restoring Land Rovers, traveling the world, or simply enjoying a slice of pizza, he lived with passion and humor, with a unique ability to turn mere moments into epic events.

He is survived by his wife, Sue, and five children: LT Katherine Laff, Jennifer Walsh, Patrick Walsh, Eric Laff, and Dr. Matthew Laff. A memorial will be held on Friday, April 11 from from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Pl., Libertyville. In lieu of flowers, donations in Scott’s memory may be made to the National MS Society. Funeral info (847) 362-2626
