Obituary of Laura Lee Brostrom

Laura Brostrom (nee Cruikshank), 70, of Vernon Hills, passed away peacefully at her home on April 9, 2025. Known for her kind-hearted nature, Laura built lasting friendships throughout her life. Her greatest love story began at age 17 when she met Roy; high school sweethearts, they shared 52 inseparable years of marriage.

Professionally, Laura dedicated over 16 years as an office administrator for Pension Advisory Group in Vernon Hills. Personally, she was a gentle spirit, adored by her pets, and a talented piano player with a love for music. Laura cherished her family above all, finding immense joy in her roles as a wife, mother, and nana, always striving to make those around her happy. She brought immense love into the world and will be profoundly missed.

Laura is survived by her beloved husband, Roy; her daughters, Kimberly and Kristy; her cherished grandsons, Brayden and Jayden; her dear sister, Donna June Dremann; along with nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and June Cruikshank, and her brother, Richard.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation on Saturday, May 3rd, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Pl, Libertyville. A memorial service celebrating Laura's life will be held during the visitation at 2:30 PM.
