
Obituary of Marilyn May Prinzing
Marilyn passed away peacefully at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana following a brief illness. She was 85 years old.
Marilyn is survived by her loving husband Robert E. Prinzing Jr., children, Brenda Prinzing of Grayslake, IL, Tara (Patrick) O’Dell of Lake Villa, IL, Linda (Jim) Mueller of Frankfort KY, Erik (Debbie) Prinzing of Mundelein IL. Brother, Charles (Kathy) Jenkins of Mount Pleasant, SC. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren Amber (Michael) Bradburn, Amanda Wholaver, Samantha (Michael) Jahn, Zachery (Kim) Kraemer, Kady O’Dell, Kyle (Robyn) Kraemer, Jason Prinzing, Erin Prinzing and 8 great grandchildren, Emma and Kash Wholaver, Owen O’Dell, Saya Bradburn, Leonardo Jahn, Gray Bradburn, Nanami Kraemer, Vera Jahn. Surviving relatives include Tim Jenkins, Elaine Hess, Richard (Joan) Prinzing, and Delores Larsen.
Marilyn was born in Grafton, West Virginia in 1938 and was raised by her parents Charles Bentley Jenkins and Vera Mae (Whetzel) Jenkins in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania.
Marilyn sold real estate in Lake County Illinois for many years. In addition, she was very active in their local church, served on various community committees, and was an avid genealogy investigator and was also a proud member of the DAR having traced back her family roots to the early 1700’s in America.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, May 2nd, at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Pl, Libertyville. A private funeral service will take place on Saturday, May 24th, at Belie Vernon Cemetery, Belle Vernon Pennsylvania.
