Fair Winds and Following Seas. Hand salute sir!!! Navy Strong!
Thank you for you service. You may stand down now, the watch is covered.

My very first ship, USS Josephus Daniels CG-27, Admiral Gaston was the commanding officer. Admiral Gaston would always challenge me when he’d see me on the ship. His handshakes were one of a kind. If you didn’t get a good grip on him…forget it he had you and you felt it. I remember Admiral Gaston assembling the crew on the flight deck before we pulled into a port and at the end he always said these words that I still remember to this day about drinking. If you know your limit drink one less, if you don’t know your limit drink two less, if you don’t drink don’t start!
Fair winds and following seas Admiral.
