Patricia Mahan passed away on January 8th, 2024, in her home surrounded by her family, just 6 days before her 90th birthday. Patricia was born in Chicago, II. on January 14th, 1934. She attended Seattle University where she met her husband, James. Pat and Jim raised their children in the Beverly neighborhood of Chicago where Pat was a homemaker. She later returned to college and became an RN in 1975. Pat worked at the Hines VA hospital in Maywood for 25 years until retiring in 1997 and settled down to help care for her baby granddaughter Morgan. Pat and Jim moved to the Del Webb Grand Dominion community in Mundelein in 2009. Pat was a devout member of St Joseph’s parish in Libertyville.

Pat is survived by and was the: devoted mother of: Mary Jo Mahan, Walter Mahan (Jim), Eileen Baumgen (Ken), Raymond Mahan (Eileen), Mark Mahan, Daniel Mahan (Glenna) John Mahan; proud grandmother of Lauren Fredrickson, Colette Fredrickson, Sean Mahan (deceased), Ryan Mahan, Jessica Mahan, Erin Mahan, Morgan Mahan and Max Mahan and her childhood & lifelong dear friend, Sister Dorothy Dempsey.

Pat was preceded in death by her beloved husband James who passed away on Easter Sunday 2020.

Pat will be laid to rest at Fort Sheridan Cemetery in Highwood Illinois the June 25th, 2024 at 11:00 am.
