Obituary of Frances Henry

Frances Henry, 94, longtime Libertyville and lifetime Chicagoland resident, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2024. Fran graduated from St. Sebastian High School and shortly thereafter started working for the Chicago Library system as an Administrative Clerk. She later took a position with Chicago National Bank which later became Harris/BMO. During her time at the bank that Fran was introduced to a mailman named Bob Henry by her sister and brother-in-law. It was love at first sight for both. After they were married they bought a house in Rogers Park and lived there for 49 year. In her free time, Fran enjoyed being with friends staying very active with games, outings, and catching all the local live entertainment.

Fran is preceded in death by her husband Bob and her sister Patricia. She is survived by her three children Jackie, Colleen and Emmett; her three grandchildren Nicholas, Thomas and Michael; her brother Charles and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday March 6th at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 121 E Maple Ave, Libertyville. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.  Funeral arrangements by McMurrough Funeral Chapel (847) 362-2626.
