Lizzy had the best laugh, smile, jokes, and words of wisdom. I will always remember Northwestern (Badger) tailgates and the Pewaukee condo the most. She always made sure we were taken care of and felt loved. Love you Lizzy.

Katharine Hepburn and Tracy Lord could have said of her; "My, she was Yar!" Quick, agile, always sailing sure. All who knew her felt her True Love. (The Philadelphia Story.)
A donation has been made to the St. Joe's food pantry in her honor. With deep respect, Mary Greene Mottet and Ken Mottet

Our first & favorite memory of Lizzy is from the Northwestern tailgate where we met her the first time. She was so in her element - surrounded by family, friends, fun & amazing food. She was the life of the party & we’ll never forget her energy & positivity.
Thank you Lizzy for being such a light in the lives of others & thank you for raising two amazing daughters that we are lucky enough to call our friends ❤️ your memory will live on through your kids & your grandkids!

The unforgettable moment of eating Portillo’s for the first time at the Meyers’ house in Libertyville with everyone. Having the first Herr/Meyers family dinner in the same trip ❤️ Got to experience Lizzy’s wonderful cooking. When I got accepted to Mizzou, Lizzy sent me Mizzou tiger earrings to inspire me to go there. We will miss you so so much Lizzy!!

Oh Lizzy! I hope you know how much i treasured our breakfasts at Towne and your very complicated order of well done toast and burnt bacon. I am going to miss our banter of our beloved Sox and Cubs and that radiant smile of yours. Love you my friend. Rest in paradise.. Anne

Q: What will you never forget about Mary?
A: She inspired me to teach catechism and taught me amazing tools to teach the children of St. Joe's Parish She always lifted me when I needed encouragement. She also taught my daughter the beauty of prayer and faith. I will be forever grateful to her for that.

How can one share one memory of our time with Lizzy? For over 22 years our family has been blessed to have Liz & the Meyers in our families lives. She was an additional Aunt to our girls. She and Dave were also wonderful travel companions and “BFF’s” to Julie and me. Was the one moment the smile on her face on the Schooner in Camden, ME? The plan Liz put together to “literally eat our way through New Orleans”? The wonderful dinner she set up in Key West? The laughs at the Pewaukee Condo? The Gourmet Dinners in St. Charles? The NU Tailgates? The genuine love and respect we felt every time we were together? This list could go on, and on and on! The Olney’s and Hills send our love to Dave, John, Kate, Maggie, Bre, Brennan and Nick as well as the “gaggle of Grandchildren” she adored so much. RIP my friend. You will be missed.

Our families were brought together in STC through swimming and Fox Chase. Liz, who worked from home while I was in high school, hired me to babysit Kate and Maggie while she got a few hours to focus. Now that I’m a mom, working from home, I’ve thought about this often. She showed me that moms can do it, and get work done. She was a force.

Q: What will you miss most about Mary?
A: I met Lizzy at a beautiful CRHP retreat weekend at St Joes. She instantly drew me in. It was her beautiful smile and infectious laugh. There are certain people in life that when they pass, you can still hear their laugh and see their wide dimpled smile. Lizzy is one of those people for me. When I met Dave and her daughters, I could see why she smiled so much. What a beautiful fun loving family. Any time I would run into them in town I would always get a big hug and hello. Lizzy”s love of her faith was also infectious. She loved Jesus and Mary and spent many hours teaching the children at StJoes CCD. It is no surprise that Lizzy passed the day before our Blessed Mother”s birthday. She made it to heaven just in time to celebrate with all the angels. Lizzy suffered cancer for too many years. But she never dragged her cross behind her in sorrow. It was always in front of her with kindness and Joy. Her suffering is over and Jesus has welcomed home his beautiful loving daughter and servant with a big hug and hello. God bless you Lizzy. And God bless you Dave and family. Job well done!
