Obituary of Julie Daul
Juliann “Julie” (Chase) Daul, 82, longtime Libertyville resident, passed away on Oct 7, 2024 at Condell Medical Center. Born in Wisconsin, Julie graduated from Pulaski High School in Milwaukee in 1959. She met her future husband, Charles (Chuck) at Greenfield Park, and they shared 47 wonderful years of marriage. In 1981, they moved to Libertyville to raise their young family of five children.
A devout Catholic and active parishioner of St. Joseph Church, Julie served as a catechist for over 20 years, guiding students preparing for Confirmation. Her faith was a source of strength and comfort throughout her life.
After her children were grown, Julie enjoyed working outside the home, notably at Langworthy’s in Libertyville. She cherished time spent outdoors, especially family beach vacations, fishing, and relaxing on her porch in the sunshine. Julie was a devoted grandmother and had a special affection for her canine companions.
A loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Julie will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Julie is survived by her children Stephanie Daul, Steve (Corey), Michelle De Volder, Nicole (Tom) Keenan and Michael Daul; her granddaughters Ashley and Allison Daul, Megan (Brandon) Spieler, Hailey Keenan and Mackenzie De Volder and her sisters Susan (Paul) Ackerman and Jeanne Vandenberg. Julie is also survived by many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Chuck; her parents Lloyd and Margaret Chase; and her brothers John and William Chase.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 6:00 PM on Sunday Oct 13th at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Pl, Libertyville and from 9:30 – 10:30 AM on Monday Oct 14th at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 121 E Maple Ave, Libertyville where there will be at Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM.
