Obituary of Linda Weidner

Linda Weidner, 64, of McHenry since 1976, passed away January 6, 2015 in Barrington at Journey Care. She worked at Wauconda and Grant Townships and retired from Ela Township as a Deputy Assessor. Linda enjoyed fishing at the McHenry Dam every day during the summer, bingo, trips to Las Vegas, spending time with her grandchildren, wintering in Arizona with her best friend Darlene and husband Jim, reading and her dog Angel. Linda is survived by her husband of 42 years, James Weidner, married Dec. 9, 1972 at St. Joseph Church in Libertyville; her children Kelly (Todd) Dzike, Keri (Mike) Pohl, Sean Weidner; her grandchildren Alex, Shelby, Jack and Evan; father William Hammonds; brother William (Pat) Hammonds, brothers-in-law Ron (the late Doris) Weidner, Reverend Larry Weidner, Robert Weidner; sister-in-law Janet (Erich ) Schmidbauer; and nieces and nephews Matthew, Katie, Sarahbeth, Daniel and Billy. Linda was preceded in death by her mother Violet Hammonds; best friend and cousin Darlene Michalek; and her father and mother-in-laws Dick and Esther Weidner. Funeral Mass Sat 10 am Jan 31, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 121 E Maple Ave, Libertyville. Visitation Friday 4 – 8 pm Jan 30th at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Pl (Route 176, 1 Block East of Milwaukee Ave) Libertyville.
