I just Googled Mrs. Roemer, my teacher at Webster JHS in Waukegan, 1960--1962. I'm sorry to see she passed, but not surprised as she would be pushing 100 in a couple of months. I'm very sorry to see she probably had Alzheimers.
Mrs. Roemer taught the advanced section in both my seventh and eighth grades, as I recall. She was tough but fair. I was a little too lazy for her tastes, but we got along well. I am very amused to find out just now that she was a WWII Marine!!
RIP Mrs. Roemer. You are remembered by hundreds, if not thousands.
