Mary E. Majer, nee Erhart, 79, of Waukegan, passed away Sunday June 7, 2015 in Lake Forest Hospital. Mary was born in Slovenia and had been a Waukegan resident for the past 55 years. She had been a member of both Mother of God and St. Anastasia parishes and had retired from Abbott Laboratories. Mary was an extraordinary cook, a loyal friend and a grandmother who adored and cherished her grandchildren. She was also a former member of the Lake County German DANK club.
Mary was the devoted and beloved wife of the late Ludvik; the beloved mother of Dolores “Doe” Ames and Sonja (Zbigniew) Kosobucki; the very proud grandmother of Madeline and Peter Kosobucki.
Funeral Mass will be 10 am Friday June 12 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 121 E Maple Ave, Libertyville. Interment Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville. Visitation will be 4 – 8 pm Thursday June 11 at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place (Rt 176, 1 Block East of Milwaukee Ave) Libertyville. Funeral information (847) 362-2626.
