Karen Anne Johnson (nee Senew), 70, of Libertyville, passed away Aug. 22, 2015 in Riverwoods, IL. Karen was a retired school teacher for the Hawthorn School District, a long time Special Education teacher and an active Scouting parent.
Karen is survived by her loving children Eric (Mariellen) Johnson, Michael (Laurie) Johnson and Tricia Johnson. She was the proud grandmother of Daniel, Taylor, Eric, Connor, Kyle and Anna; the dearest sister of Michael Senew and Patricia Proctor and the devoted wife of the late Dr. John H. Johnson.
Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:00 am Thursday Aug. 27th at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 121 E Maple Ave, Libertyville. Interment will follow at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, 8851 W. Higgins Road, Chicago. Visitation will be held Wed. Aug. 26th from 4 – 8 pm at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place (Rt. 176, 1 Blk East of Milwaukee Ave) Libertyville.
