Obituary of Donald Vincent Hermestroff Sr

Donald Vincent Hermestroff Sr., 82, passed away Sunday August 30, 2015 at his home with his family by his side. Don and his wife Barbara moved to Libertyville in 1959 and had been parishioners of St. Joseph Church since. He retired from ITW as production manager to join his son, DV, at Ultimate Screen Printing in Mundelein. Don’s greatest passion was his family; nothing made him happier than being with them. He was very supportive of his grandchildren cheering on their academic success and made a great effort to be at all of their sporting events. Don had a strong faith, character and presence and will be dearly missed. Don is survived by his wife Barbara (nee Jahns) of 60 years; his children Lesley (Bob) Magna, DV (Tracy) Hermestroff and Patty (Tom) Paul; his grandchildren Bob, Jim and Tom Magna, Dustin and Matt Hermestroff and Michelle, Sammie and Abby Paul; great-grandchildren Robbie, Maddux and Keira. Visitation for Don will be Thursday Sept. 3rd from 4 – 8 pm at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place (Rt 176, 1 Block East of Milwaukee Ave) Libertyville. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday Sept 4th at 11:30 am at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 121 E Maple Ave, Libertyville. Interment Ascension Cemetery.
