Charles J. “Butch” Moseley, 76, Army, passed away September 26, 2015, peacefully at his son’s home in Vernon Hills, IL surrounded by his loving family after a very short and untimely battle with cancer. Mr. Moseley was born November 30, 1938, in Birmingham, Alabama to Mr. Garr Moseley, Jr. and Mrs. Wilhelmina H. Moseley. He had two other siblings, a brother and a sister. Mr. Moseley and his wife, Barbara, recently moved to Olive Branch, MS where they resided for only a short time prior to his sudden illness. Mr. Moseley was a wonderful husband and father who left this world way too early. His family knew him as a feisty man with a fun-loving wit about him. He was known for his entertaining stories of life and adventure, which he like to tell often. He kept his family and friends laughing and amazed. Mr. Moseley began his career as a volunteer fireman for the Vestavia Hills Volunteer Fire Department in Vestavia, AL and then continued his career as a field engineer in land surveying and construction inspection in Chicago, IL.
Mr. Moseley is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Barbara H. Moseley, two sons, Clifford C. Moseley (Paige) and Jeffrey G. Moseley (Lynn) and four grandchildren, Brittney Moseley, Hunter Moseley, Peyton Moseley and Laine Moseley.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 4th from 2:00 – 6:00 pm at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place (Rt 176, 1 Block East of Milwaukee Ave) Libertyville.
