Obituary of Phyllis Eileen DesLauriers

Phyllis Eileen (nee Bracher) Fritch DesLauriers, 82, of Lake County, died October 28, 2015. Phyllis was born November 18, 1932, in Waukegan, IL to Calvin and Lillian (Haines) Bracher. She graduated Libertyville High School in 1950 and spent most of her working years selling jewelry at DuPont Jewelers and real estate for Century 21. In addition, Phyllis served 14 years on the Hawthorn School District Board of Education. Phyllis was a vivacious woman who loved to laugh and dance. In addition, she enjoyed reading, crosswords, travel, baking, and her grandchildren. Phyllis is survived by her children Gary (Margot) Ott, Judy Awe, Pati (Rickie) Roberson, Barbara (Darrell) Mivshek, Calvin Fritch and Clayton (Dina) Fritch; her grandchildren Jeff (Mary) Awe, Jim (Stacy) Awe, Cari Keysear (David) Wilmert, Meghan (Aaron) Sommers, Cory Fritch, Michelle Fritch, John Fritch, Melanie Mivshek, and Luke Mivshek; her great-grandchildren Jacqueline Keysear, Logan Keysear, Gia Fritch, Cameron Wilmert, Anya Sommers, Jaxson Downs, Ezra Sommers and Haylee Fritch; her brother Herb (Penny) Bracher; and numerous nieces and nephews. Phyllis was preceded in death by her spouses, Francis Fritch and Donald DesLauriers; her siblings and their spouses Leland and Mary Bracher, Ana Mae and William Schotanus; and her son-in-law Jerry Awe. Visitation for Phyllis will be held Monday November 2nd from 4 – 7 pm at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place (Route 176, 1 Block East of Milwaukee Ave) Libertyville.
