Obituary of Maureen Lynn McLendon

Maureen "Moe" Lynn (nee Carlucci) McLendon, 69, of Waukegan, passed away December 27, 2015. Maureen was a graduate of St. Peter’s in Antioch, Antioch High School in Antioch and received her BA in English with high honors from Barat College in Lake Forest. She was faithful employee of Baxter Labs in Round Lake for 35 years. Moe was an actively engaged volunteer with the Big Sisters Youth Organization of Lake County. She was crafter extraordinaire, family historian and ardent collector of pig paraphernalia. Moe is remembered for her great dancing skills to Motown classics and was a proficient accordion player. She was a daughter, sister, cousin, friend and confidant and will be dearly missed. Moe is preceded in death by her parents Richard "Doc" A. Carlucci and Corrine "Corky" Reilly Carlucci. She is survived by her sister Kathleen "Kathi" P. Serrano of Raleigh NC, brother Richard (Maryjane) A. Carlucci II of Plainfield, sister Colleen Carlucci of Summerville SC; nephews Hector Serrano, Fernando Serrano, and Ricardo Serrano, Anthony "Tony" Carlucci, Kaitlin Carlucci Wonder, Collin Carlucci and Jake Adams; cousins Dawn, Paul, Taylor and Austin Murray, Tom, Nick Luke, and Joey Carlucci, Karen, Al, Tom and Kyle Knotek; great-nephew Maxwell Wonder and great-niece Blakely Carlucci. Visitation for Moe will be Saturday Jan. 2nd from 2 – 4 pm at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Pl (Rt 176, 1 Block East of Milwaukee Ave) Libertyville with a service at 3:30 pm.
