Marvin Nannenhorn, 90, formerly of Libertyville, US Army, passed away February 4, 2016. Marvin grew up in Evanston and graduated from Evanston High School. After serving his country as Staff Sergeant with the US Army during WWII, Marvin graduated from Northwestern University. He dedicated over 40 years of service to ComEd. Marvin moved his family to Libertyville in 1970 and were parishioners of St. Joseph Catholic Church ever since. He was one of the founding members of the Centre Club in Libertyville. Marvin is remembered for love of golf, woodworking, taking long walks and having an affinity for dogs.
Marvin is survived by his children Edward and John (Mary) and grandchildren Kathleen, Margaret and Brigid. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary (nee Brogan), parents Edward and Leila, sisters Vivian, Patricia and Leila and brother Kenneth.
Funeral Mass for Marvin will be held 10 am Saturday Feb. 13 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 121 E Maple Ave, Libertyville where the family will receive friends 30 minutes before Mass.
