James Joseph Boyle III, 73, Marine, 34 year resident of Libertyville, passed away March 29, 2016 at his home. Graduated from Loyola University Chicago class of ’65. Jim was a decorated Marine Officer who proudly served his country in Vietnam from 1967-1968. He is remembered for being a faithful provider, husband, father and friend. Jim was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church, active in the Marine Corps League of Lake County and supporter of the Young Marines. James is survived by his beloved wife Geraldine of 51 years; his loving children Kevin Patrick (Antonia) and Kristan Jennifer Boyle wife of Edward Kubiak; his cherished grandchildren Liam Justinian, Kathleen Antigone, Anna Josephine, Catherine Margaret and Harper Jane; and devoted brother Michael Francis (Maureen) Boyle. Visitation for James will be held Sunday April 3rd from 4 to 8 p.m. at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place (Route 176, One Block East of Milwaukee avenue) Libertyville. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 A.M. April 4th at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 121 East Maple Avenue, Libertyville with military honors to follow.
