Louis A Oplawski Sr., 72, of Grayslake, passed away August 9, 2016. Louis was born in Chicago and had a long successful career in the auto industry. He is remembered for his fondness of travel in his motorhome and making new friends along the way. Louis’s greatest treasure were his children and grandchildren.
Louis is survived by his beloved wife Marge of 51 years; loving children Jodi (Brian) Benz, Louis Jr. (Kelly) and Joe; and his cherished grandchildren Kylie & Brooke Benz and Madison, Emma, Lilly and Cameron Oplawski. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Rose Oplawski and brothers Frank and Charles.
Visitation for Louis will be Saturday Aug. 13th from 11 – 2 pm at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Pl (Rt 176, 1 Blk East of Milwaukee Ave) Libertyville. A service will follow the visitation at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital www.stjude.org would be greatly appreciated.
