Lorraine Ann Bruecks, RN, nee Bukantis, 87, of Lake Bluff (Knollwood), passed away Oct.7,2016 in Lake Forest. Lorraine was born in Waukegan, was a lifelong Lake Co. resident, received her Registered Nursing degree from St. Therese School of Nursing, was a member of St. Joseph Parish Libertyville, and the Guild of the Blessed Virgin. She was the devoted wife of the late Harvey, the loving mother of David (Laura) Bruecks, Lisa (Ronald) Niebuhr and the late Mark; the proud grandmother of Franklin, Eric, Ryan, Christopher and Ashley; the dearest great-grandmother of many and the beloved sister of Therese Berger and Edward Bukantis.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00AM Sat. Oct.15 at St. Joseph Church, 121 East Maple Ave, Libertyville where there will be visitation a half hour before the Mass. Interment Ascension Cemetery.
