Obituary of George D. Rotchford

George D. Rotchford, 77, a 38 year resident of Libertyville passed away January 21, 2017 at Advocate Condell Med. Ctr. George was a skilled pharmacist for 46 years and most notably opened and operated the Osco Pharmacy in Libertyville for many decades. He found great pleasure in his work; he loved fostering relationships with customers and helping them with their questions and concerns. George was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Libertyville. In his free time, he loved being outdoors fishing in our local lakes. George is survived by his wife Marianne Rotchford of 51 years. A great team; they had a love and bond that was both deep and strong. They shared a passion for theater and travel taking in many concerts, plays and shows both in Chicago and abroad. Funeral Mass for George will be 11:30 am Thursday, January 26th at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 121 E. Maple Ave, Libertyville with a visitation at the church one hour prior to Mass. Entombment at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville. Memorials made in George’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org, would be greatly appreciated.
