Obituary of Henry Leidecker
Henry Leidecker, 91, of Libertyville passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Advocate Condell Medical Center. Mr. Leidecker was born in Chicago and had been a Libertyville resident since 1968.
He was a graduate of the University of Illinois School of Engineering and Lake Forest College of Management and had served with the U.S. Army during WWII. Over the years, he had been employed as a mechanical engineer for Elgin Sweeper, Hough Company, International Harvester and Case Industries. Henry was a devoted member of St. Joseph Parish, Libertyville where in the early years had had taught CCD.
He is survived by his loving children; Patricia (Joseph) Simons, Hank (Mary Lou), Edward and Maryann (Jim) Lincoln, he was the proud grandfather of; David (Katrina) Burr, Katrina (Dan) Moyse, Kendra (Ben) Cowan, Kevin Lincoln and Jessica Lincoln, and Great-grandfather of; Rheece, Aiden & Addisyn Burr and James and William Moyse.
Henry was preceded in death by his cherished wife; Aileen (nee Quirk).
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Thursday September 14 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 121 East Maple, Libertyville. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday September 13 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place, Libertyville.
