Obituary of Dorothy Elizabeth England Hull
Dorothy "Dottie" Elizabeth England Hull was born to Norris and Linnie Muriel England in Glenwood, NC on March 15th, 1937 and died surrounded by her family on March 10th, 2018 at the age of 80.
Dorothy was valedictorian of her 1954 Glenwood, NC high school class and a 1957 graduate of Duke University Nursing Program in North Carolina where she attended on full scholarship. Her love of nursing led her to a life dedicated to caring for others; including staff nursing in Labor and Delivery, caring for the elderly as Administrator of Shelby Convalescent Center, and finally as a Director at Cleveland Home Health Agency in Shelby, NC. First and foremost, Dorothy was a loving wife, devoted mother and homemaker.
She retired to Aurora, Missouri in 2002 where she lived close to family. In her retirement years, Dorothy and Bryan enjoyed traveling to North Carolina, Nebraska, Illinois, Texas and Washington to visit her brother, children, grandchildren, and friends.
In 2016 she moved to Sunrise Reminiscence of Gurnee, IL where she was lovingly cared for by family, friends, staff and hospice.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years: Willis Bryan Hull of Mt Vernon, Missouri; five children: Lori (Dennis) Link of Mt Vernon, MO; David (Judi) Hull of Ellensburg, WA; Amy (Craig) Fox of Antioch, IL; Warren (Angela) Hull of Corinth, Tx and Charles (Summer) Hull of Ashland, NE.
Fourteen grandchildren: Ameran Link; Jared Hull, Zachary (Hanna) Hull, Jolyn Hull, Landen Hull; Linsey (Eric) Baurichter, Kaitlin (Adam) Codner, Emily Fox, Weston Fox; Kailey (Wes) Howell, Jaycie (Trevor) Foster, Mason Hull; Chaucer Hull and Hendrix Hull.
Two great grandchildren: Piper and Flint Baurichter
One brother: Charles (Emma Jean) England, two nieces: Deanna (Gary) MacClaren, Betsy (Dean) Moore and one nephew: Grayson (Amy) England, all of Marion NC.
A dedicated daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmama and kind friend to all, her choice to serve God was evident in her life and spirit. Her kind, gentle spirit will be greatly missed by all. The family would like to express their deep appreciation for the loving, skilled and dedicated staff of both Sunrise Reminiscence and Kindred At Home Hospice.

Visitation for Dorothy will be Friday March 16th from 10:00 - 11:30 am at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Pl (Rt 176, 1 Blk East of Milwaukee Ave) Libertyville. Funeral service will follow at 11:30am at the funeral home. Interment Millburn Cemetery. Funeral information (847) 362-2626.
