Even from a young age, I always had the greatest admiration for Aunt Lee. Once when I was about ten, she took me with her to the beauty shop. I wanted so much to get my hair cut like hers! Another memory is after she and Uncle George married, she had their first child and she invited me to stay with her for a few days to help with little Jenny girl while George was out of town. Lastly, as a testament to the work she did with children and families...I was still in grade school (Nativity) and she came to my school to introduce a new student to the faculty. I happened to be on the playground when she arrived....I was so proud that she was my Aunt.
Such an accomplished lady who had the personality and smile to take her anywhere.
Although I haven't seen her since their last visit to Indianapolis, we had stayed in touch via e-mail. She wanted to be advised about my Mother's condition and she was always so encouraging in her e-mails to me.
She and Uncle George were definitely a match made in heaven....two wonderful souls who once again are united in everlasting love.
I am truly saddened and offer my condolences to the entire family.
