Obituary of Richard T. Bieda

Richard “Rick” Bieda of Lake Villa, beloved husband of almost 40 years to Linda Bieda (nee Lonski), loving father and best friend of Kate (Mick Cullen) and Joe, devoted PopPop to Max and Toby, grandpa to Xavier and Elijah, dear son of the late Elizabeth “Betty”, fond brother of John (Joyce) Bieda and Barbara Barry, cherished son-in-law of Irene Lonski, brother-in-law of Steven Lonski, and uncle to John Jr., Mandy, Matt, Jennifer, Kristi, Nikki, and Ashley. Rick was an intelligent unassuming man and self-taught himself to work with computers eventually becoming the Sr. Engineer of Software Engineering at Cardinal Health. However, Rick was much more than this. He was quiet, but friendly; had a sharp dry sense of humor; loved playing with his grandchildren; and relished the time he spent with his wife just sitting outside and looking at the lake. He worked hard to provide for his family, answered all his daughter’s questions of how things worked and taught her home repair, hung out with and shared inside jokes with his son, played catch with the overly excitable dog, and went on vacation every year with his family. Rick’s presence and impact on those around him cannot be described, his importance to his family cannot be stated, and his loss cannot be expressed. He will be profoundly missed. Rick's family will receive friends from 3:00-6:00 PM Tuesday January 28th at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Pl, Libertyville where there will be a service at 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to make a donation can donate to the American Heart Association.
