My family and I are so sorry to learn of Jim's passing. When we first moved to Libertyville (29 years ago) we were thrilled to learn that the town had an independent butcher. He was my go-to guy until he retired. He taught me the correct way to cook my lamb...and it was great! I always appreciated the time he took to help me, his knowledge and experience, and his wonderful welcoming personality. Our most sincere condolences to the entire family. He will be missed, but remembered with great fondness. ~ Suzan Mayworm

We are very sorry for your loss. Jim will be remembered by all of us as the crazy, funny, kind, generous, back door neighbor we grew to love so much. 48 years of friendship! We have had many laughs and have shared many tears too along the way. Our prayers and thoughts are with the the Allen family during this difficult time.
