Obituary of Margaret A Coroneos

Margaret A. Coroneos (nee Fialkowski) born February 19, 1934 passed away early March 29, 2021 surrounded by loved ones. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; daughter, Darlene; and beloved companion, Tootsie. Margaret is survived by her son, Dean; daughter-in-law, Kristina; three grandchildren, Thomas, Emily, and Jessica; and her sisters, Josephine Evans and Ann Marie Warnick.

Margaret is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during the Korean War. She married her husband in 1953 and resided in Lake County, IL for the last 68 years. Margaret previously owned a restaurant and retail store in Long Grove, IL. She cherished her family, friends, and always had a soft spot in her heart for animals. Margaret particularly enjoyed her friends and neighbors while she lived in Saddlebrook Farms. She lived a selfless life and always put others above herself. Margaret was a longtime member of St. Demetrios Church Greek Orthodox Church.

A short visitation will be held prior to church services at St. Demetrios located at 1400 N. O’Plaine Rd., Libertyville, IL 60048 on Friday, April 2 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, Margaret’s family requests that any donations be made to either St. Demetrios in Libertyville, IL or Save-A-Pet, 31664 N Fairfield Rd,  Grayslake, IL.
