Katherine J Reitman, 85, of Monmouth and Libertyville passed away peacefully Easter Sunday April 4, 2021 surrounded by her family. She is remembered for her kind and gentle spirit supportive of her children and grandchildren. She is remembered for working at the Libertyville Toyota dealership and was a member of the Methodist Church.

Katherine is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Jack, the former Mayor of Monmouth and Libertyville Fire Chief; her parents Katherine Nelson and Hugh Peck; her sisters Pat and Eleanor and brother Hugh.

Katherine is survived by her children Teresa Simon of Libertyville, Hugh Reitman of Grayslake, Rodger Reitman of Montana, John Reitman Jr. (Darrell Buckman) of Florida and Deena (Marty) Neal of Libertyville; her grandchildren Kellen Linderman, Tony (Sarah) Simon, Brock Simon, Lindsay Henneberry, Ryan (Mary) Reitman, Gina Reitman, Taylor Reitman, Addie Neal, Jack Neal, Sean Neal and Joey Neal; and her great-grandchildren Abigail & Nate, Peyton & Jack, Evelyn, Muriel & Dean, Harper, & Paige ,  Cameron, Sawyer and Weston; her brother Dennis (Sue) Nelson; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

A graveside service will be held at Warren County Memorial Cemetery in Monmouth where she will be laid to rest next to the love of her life.
