Walter R. Marsh, 94, WWII Air Force, of Libertyville, passed away peacefully May 15, 2022. Walter was born in Evanston and grew up in Kenilworth. He had a successful career in Engineering, working for Baxter and retiring as Executive VP of a global Architecture Engineering firm. Even in retirement, his love of calculations and problem solving carried with him in being the hired help for home projects and teaching his children how to be self-reliant and being able to fix anything. Walter was a man’s man and had a great love for the outdoors, hunting, camping, or fishing. He also enjoyed woodworking, traveling, and his latest and greatest gadgets. He was a well-read smart man and had a special bond with the family dogs.

Walter is survived by his loving children Richard (Lois), Rodney (JoAnne), Roger, Reed (Joanie), Lisa (Dale) Kimball, Laura (James) Enzor, Sue (John) Petersen and Catherine Little and Michael Wijas; his cherished grandchildren Lindsey (Robert) McMahan, Michael, Jonathan (Lana), Kaitlin, Samantha, Cassandra, Gregory (Liz), Stephen (Jessie), Madeline, Shannon (James) Riley, Jennifer (Eric) O’Quinn, Hayley, Jeffrey (Kristen), Eric, Margaret, Samantha, Spencer, Daniel Maggie) Wijas, Bryan (Erin) Wijas and Kevin (Angie) Wijas; his dearest great-grandchildren Logan, Andie, Hazel, Mia, Emma, Nora, Claire, Eleanor, Brooklyn, Logan, Piper, Frankie, Skylar and Gigi. He was preceded in death by his wives Mary and Dorothy, his children Robert Marsh, Marty Wijas, Deborah Wijas, Thomas (Elaine) Wijas and his sister Margaret Kidd.

Funeral services will be held privately at McMurrough Funeral Chapel. Interment at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL. Funeral info (847) 362-2626
