Obituary of Frances Nakis

Frances Nakis, 93, a lifetime resident of Waukegan, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2022. She was the loving daughter of the late James and Athens, the loving sister of Ellen and her late brother Christos (Christie), and the loving cousin to Charles (Sandy) Labracke, Fay Kolster, Joanne Brandhagen, and Dorothy Archer. Frances loved her family, including her spiritual family at her beloved St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. She adored gardening and their cats - Charlie, Minnie, Cookie, Boy-Boy, Smokey, and so many more. She put her talent of organization and attention to detail to work at Abbott Laboratories. She will be lovingly remembered by her beloved sister Ellen, her family, friends, and all those many others she touched - knowingly and unknowingly.  Her loving memory will live forever in our hearts.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday July 8, at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 1400 O'Plaine Rd, Libertyville, IL 60048 with a visitation at the church 30 minutes prior.
