Obituary of Stanley J Trygar Sr.

Stanley J. Trygar Sr., 94, US Army Korea, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2022. Stanley was born in North Chicago to Joseph and Caroline. He dedicated over 30 years of service to ComEd. Outside of work he was an avid sports enthusiast whether it was golfing, bowling, or playing softball. Stan had a great sense of humor that could make anyone smile. He had a passion for Polka music both singing and dancing. He always put his family first and no matter the challenges he faced he could always look on the bright side of things. He had a wonderful way of connecting with people and was loved by everyone.

Stanley is survived by his loving wife of 70 years Martha (nee Mallory); his children Stanley Jr. (Dora), Robert (Margaret) and Laura (Marius) Sereika; his grandchildren Jessica (Christopher) Kelly, Erin (Davey) Thayer, Megan (Kevin) Koza, Jennifer (Andrew) Slowinski, Matthew (Jenny) Trygar, Mark (Sarah) Trygar, Lisa Trygar and Ben Trygar, 15 great-grandchildren; his siblings Henry Trygar, Chester Trygar and Dorothy (William) Pish and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents to Joseph and Caroline, his twin sons Paul and Raymond, his siblings Matthew, Genevieve Tucka, Josephine Allen, Lottie Krantz and Jeanette Warner. 

Visitation for Stanley will be on Saturday July 30th from 10:00 to 11:30 am at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Pl, Libertyville with a service at 11:30 am. Interment to follow at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville. In lieu of flowers, memorials made to the Wounded Warriors Project,  P.O.
