Obituary of Paul Brian Finegan

Paul Brian Finegan was born on Nov. 14, 1949, and passed away on Oct. 10, 2022, at age 72. Paul was born in Rochester, NY of his parents Eleanor and Stanley Finegan. He attended Dominican College in Racine, WI, and found his calling at Abbott, serving over 34 years in various roles. Paul advanced from facilities work to the role of Divisional Vice President in Global Engineering Services. He forged many friendships and memories with his colleagues. His projects included building new facilities at Abbott Park, charitable work in Africa, and managing the Dr. Abbott home project. Paul’s hobbies included sailing with his boat partner Ralph and had the amazing talent to repair just about anything.  

Paul is survived by his three loving children, Colleen Leyva (husband Matt Leyva), Tim Finegan (husband Keith Murbach) and Brian Finegan; his cherished grandchildren Brandon and Paige Leyva; and his dearest siblings Terry Finegan (wife Barb) and Patricia Hartman (husband Brian).
