I'm deeply saddened to learn of Rose's passing. She and I shared several classes together at Libertyville High School, where our fathers were both teachers and whose names were often confused for the other. She was always kind to me, and especially so at our high school reunion.
I will always remember her as incredibly kind, joyful, and sweet. My heartfelt condolences go out to her family and friends.

Q: What will you miss most about Rose?
A: Rose had a pure love of God and pure love of people. Rose had a wonderful sense of humor, was funny and was so easy to talk to. Rose had a deep faith in God and the love of Jesus was always around Rose. You will be greatly missed in our prayer group in Waukegan.

In 2012, my husband Frank and I had the opportunity to take Rose on a trip to Rome and Sienna. I recall as we drove down the Ave. of Reconciliation towards St. Peter's, Rose kept saying "I'm here! I can't believe I'm here!" At the first church we visited, Rose paused at a side alter, deeply emotional. We, or rather, I had to prod her along throughout the trip because she would be so moved by everything. It was a joy to be able to show her all my favorite churches and shrines and talk to her about what we saw and felt. Frank patiently guided us through everything, because honestly, it was hard not to be on "Rose Time" when you were with her.
I am so thankful that we had that time together, and all the times we had from our crazy teen adventures to dancing with her at Lizzie's wedding. I'm thankful, too, that we talked in November and the last words we said to each other were "I love you."

I met Rose from our Prayer Group at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Waukegan. Rose always had a welcoming, warm smile and a hug for me each time we met. Q: How did you meet Rose?
A: I met Rose at Waukegan Prayer Group (WPG) in 2017. As a single mom of three minor children, Rose stood by me as a friend and sister. Apart from Rose being a kind and humble person with passion for diversity and equality, she is also a prayer warrior. We both belong to another prayer group which is St Charbel Prayer Group. I pray we meet one day in paradise. Attached is the picture of some prayer group members with Rose during my children Baptism.

Q: How did you meet Rose?
A: Rose and I bonded over being Girl Scout leaders of a multi-age troop at Immaculate Conception school. Unbeknownst I was her sister Angie's friend, who I met at the Circus - that is a story you will have to ask Angie. I can still hear Rose repeating what Angie had said when she found out I was her co-leader "you mean crazy Christine!" Lol. Rose defended my "craziness" many times, which caused my husband to question her sanity. Lol. Rose's obituary describes her to a T. She truly had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. I love her, always will, and feel blessed to have had an angel for a friend.

Rose loved everyone and was loved by all! I remember when out St Channel prayer group traveled to Freedom, WI; celebrating a friend's bday while on the farm by the chickens, lots of Marian conferences, YL get together, lunch at Roses Country Cafe w/trip to organic farm, etc. One in a million ... she is dearly missed.

I have known Rose since she was born and I was 8 years old. Being her Uncle Art was true joy. I remember her wedding to Jeff. I became a stand-in member of the wedding party because some of Jeff's Navy friends were called away for service. My brother Thom sang for her. Friends and family helped to fill the church. It was a double wedding since she and her best friend decided to get married at the same time. A day of love and joy. I found her father Fred, at the side during the wedding reception. Smiling and crying as he arranged a payment for something.
