I am so surprised and saddened by the passing of Jerry. Just a few months ago he asked if I would be interested in helping him with some of his consulting work. Jerry was a big inspiration in my life, first helping me get my AAS in Welding Technology and then encouraging me to become a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and then a Certified Welding Educator(CWE). At a time when women were not encouraged to go into alternative jobs, Jerry was so helpful in getting me into welding. All his mentoring and encouragement helped many students get into a great job field. Jerry will be greatly missed.
Sincerely
Linda Chase Brissey

We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to Judy and Jerry's family. We moved out to Sylvan Lake about the same time as Jerry and spent many years on the board together. He was a hard worker and did a lot for the community. I have many great memories, especially the many neighborhood activities and parties at the beach. He will be greatly missed.

It has been a very sad morning to read of the passing of my old ISU roommate and friend, Jerry. He was also one of my groomsmen when my wife, Donna, and I were married way back in 1975. We haven't been in touch for many, many years, but I'll never forget all of the great, fun, crazy times we shared back then. Jerry was always someone who was interested in a lot of things and, unlike a lot of us, followed those interests - I'll bet he had a full, rich life. Donna and I would like to send our condolences to Jerry's family and friends.
