My thoughts are prayers are with you.
I worked with John for many years at The Derson Group, SSP and BPI group. He was a friend and colleague. A hard worker, committed to excellence, giving, smart, a leader, and someone who lived his values. He gave of his time and his great gift of listening to all of us. He noticed when others were struggling either at work or at home and was always ready to help.
His love of his family showed. He had a love for life and we always found time for a laugh or two.
So soon for him to leave.....he had so much to do yet. Please know that he touched hundreds of lives with his career coaching and his work. May you have peace. Patricia Siderius

At the wedding of my son Jason to John and Kathy's daughter Mary, I could swear half of the State of Wisconsin had squeezed into the reception hall. It seemed people from every corner of the State were there. It was no coincidence that these good friends had come from the places the Russerts had lived through the years.
Mary is one of the most kind, considerate and loving people I know. She is a blessing to Jason and my grandson, Tyler. She is a blessing to me. That is no coincidence either. As I have gotten to know John and Kathy through family gatherings (often having to do with Tyler's sports endeavors,) I have been privileged to come to better know these two very special people. Their legacy is something to admire. Those of you who have seen the family picture taken on St. Patrick's Day just a few weeks back will understand exactly what I am saying.
John will be sorely missed. He left an impression with everyone who crossed his path, and we are all better for having shared in his life. Kathleen always says making happy memories is one of the best things we can do for those we love. The Russert family created a treasure trove. I know John is with his Savior and I look forward to seeing him again when my time comes - although he may be in the penthouse and I don't think I'll get that high, but at least I have someone to emulate.

My sincerest condolences to the Russerts, their extended family, and friends. While not knowing John personally, I can see how great of a man he was based on knowing his son, Mike. I know how close Mike was with his father, and can tell that Mike's positive characteristics were a direct influence from a loving, kind, intelligent, and hard-working father. I hope John's memory will be a source of strength during this difficult time for those blessed enough to know him directly during his amazing life.

Kathy,
I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to you and your family on John's passing. John and I were classmates at SNC ('61-'65). I can attest, without qualification or hesitation, that John was truly one of the "GOOD GUYS", in every respect. I can still hear his hearty laugh and see his big smile. I got to know John as he and I were both in the Bus Ad progam our first 2 years at SNC. Though our paths of study parted ways, our Junior year, we continued to be friends, in part, because of our mutual friend, Cliff Schweitzer. May the Memories created in your life together bring you Peace.
May God Bless You & Your Family at this most difficult time,
Joel Seymour

Dear Kathy and family, I am so deeply saddened to hear of John's passing. He was such a kind and wonderful man. I will always remember October, 2016 when he helped me knock off (1) item on my bucket list and that of course was our trip to Green Bay to see a Packer game. It was such a treat and we all had such a nice time (even though the Pack lost). John then spent Monday taking us to the Packer Hall of Fame. I will always remember his kindness.
I wish there was something I could say that would ease the pain and loss. Just know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Our deepest condolences. Karen and Bob Hershberg
