When we went to go visit GG a week before she died she looked at me and said “I love this kids hair. “ I will always remember her hands. She has a very good grip! Love you. -Quinn

Gloria was a special woman to so many people. What made her so very special was her ability to bring love, laughter, and happiness into everything she did in life. I like to think that this attribute has been passed on to all her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who loved her very much.
As a child, when I was sad or upset with a situation, I remember Grandma smiling my way and winking at me. She would follow with a common phrase of hers "Smile and the whole world smiles with you."
These words continue to resonate in my mind. Anytime I feel sad or upset with a situation, I remind myself of my grandma, her love, and her words of wisdom. Especially in today's world, it is important to recognize that love and happiness is the key to life.
I will never forget Gloria. I am honored to forever call her Grandma.

Robert and Gloria moved their family to the beautiful village of Libertyville in December, 1964. They lived one block south of the Dairy Queen in newly built townhouses at Milwaukee and Austin. They were so happy to be in the wonderful and welcoming town of Libertyville. They were enthusiastic Wildcat fans and attended many homecoming parades and sports events throughout the years, especially watching their grandchildren. Bob opened up Gibbons Realty and Gloria worked at Baxter. They retired and stayed in Libertyville enjoying the coziness of the town. As Social chair and eventually President of Widows Outreach Network she enjoyed planning monthly Sunday outings for the group. She was always smiling and upbeat spreading love and support with all she met. Over the years her grandchildren gave her a tremendous sense of pride and enjoyment. She loved them all and was able to enjoy her great grandchildren as well. She always had a contagious smile for friends and acquaintances along with a word of encouragement and compassion in difficult circumstances. Her Catholic faith was handed down by her Irish Grandmother and it sustained her throughout her life. It was a gift she generously shared with her family. She was the greatest example of self-sacrifice and a Mother’s never ending love
