Peg was one of the kindest and thoughtful people I had the privilege to work with. Although we did not teach on the same team or for very long, Peg always went out of her way to say hello and ask about my family. She gave me valuable advice in regards to teaching that I used until I retired. My deepest sympathies to Peg’s family. Karen Janisch

Peg was a wonderful mother, teacher, and a great teammate. When students left for the day, the team would meet together to decompress. Often conversations would lead to our families. She loved her girls so much…but she was also practical. Once she told us that her three girls used a lot of shampoo. So, she would refill the expensive shampoo bottles with cheap shampoo and said they didn’t know the difference. Another favorite memory was when she invited the team over to enjoy her gourmet cooking. She made her famous Paella and it was delicious! Peg was a thoughtful person, too. She gave me a beautiful papyrus painting, because she knew I would love it. Lucky were the students who had her as a teacher. Lucky were her teammates who enjoyed her sense of humor and contributions to the team. And lucky is the family loved by such a warm and caring person. Peg Bilkey
